Hello, everyone. Davo, here! Before we begin with the first few chapters of Plutoscape, I’d like to first introduce myself, the world, and address some questions you probably have.

Who am I?
I’m Davo, also known as Gingerbag, “cups9”, and many other names that you probably would know (wink-wink, Dabido).
I write cool and occasional poems on my Substack, both just on notes and also on my other publication, hotcuppa9.
I’m currently writing an album which will be sort of similar to the events here in Plutoscape called “Dear, Jupiter” (you’ll figure out who Jupiter is soon).
I play a few games every now and then, which you can find on my Twitch.
What is Plutoscape about?
Plutoscape is a world inspired by the events that have happened to me throughout the year, with tons of references to both the people involved and the events themselves. It’s also a reflection of the things I’ve been through this year, including my messy love life. However, most events in the story are fictional to fit a better narrative and provide a deeper outlook into the different aspects of life.
(Don’t worry, this isn’t really spoilers, since most of this is revealed in Chapter 1. However, if you’d like to skip this part, please scroll quickly.)
It’s set in the Exon Institute, a private high school where students must demonstrate their learning quite diligently in order to maintain their social status and credentials for staying at the school. It establishes itself as both a school of creatives and logicians, converging together into one hub of imaginative and logical minds.
Pluto finds a caring, supportive friend group who accompanies him throughout his high school adventure, making plans and discussing various topics.
Meanwhile, an entire side plot begins to simmer with his best friend, Jupiter. Navigating through the pathways of life, he finds himself unravelling a whole can of worms when it comes to his own personal life, finding peace in settling with complicated friendships.

Q: Who’s the cast for this series?
A: You’re bound to figure out soon. However, you might see a few friends of both Pluto and Jupiter along the way.
Q: Where and when is Plutoscape set in?
A: Plutoscape’s universe takes heavy inspiration from Sydney, Australia. However, it is set in its own fictional world (basically an alternate version of Earth). It takes inspiration from NSW’s school system. The timeframe from Chapters 1-8 will most likely be from November to early December.
Q: Who is Pluto?
A: Pluto is a character heavily inspired by me with a few differentiators to ensure there’s a bit of a difference.
Q: What grade are the characters in?
A: Pluto is in Year 11 and so are the rest of the cast. There may be characters in higher or lower years, but they will most likely not be prominent characters.
Q: Will there be references to your other projects in this story?
A: Possibly. Maybe some intertextuality would be cool.
Q: Is “Dear, Jupiter” (Gingerbag) in the same universe as Plutoscape?
A: No. “Dear, Jupiter” will have the same characters and general outline, but will have completely different events from the narrative of Plutoscape. “Dear, Jupiter” is more of an introspective, down-to-earth album while Plutoscape is a more slice-of-life, comedic narrative.
Q: What’s the release schedule for these chapters?
A: I plan to post the chapters around 1-2 weeks between each other to provide some time for me to write, as well as to collect feedback in order to improve the drafts. It’s most likely going to be on a weekly basis to keep the pacing right.
Q: How many chapters are you planning to release?
A: I’m planning to release 8 chapters as of now. However, if it does end up smoothly, I plan to release the full 17 chapters I have planned for the story.
Q: When is Chapter 1 releasing?
A: Chapter 1 is releasing on November 26, 2025.
